The Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelenskiy has signed an application to join NATO after Putin announced Russian rule over more than 15% of Ukrainian territory. Putin announced the land grab in a ceremony held in Moscow where he celebrated the annexation of four Ukrainian provinces. The news was answered with condemnations from the West and UN calling it ‘Illegal’.
A Russian missile struck a convoy of civilian cars about to leave for humanitarian assistance to their relatives in Russian occupied regions. The S-300 missiles struck a convoy of more than 60 cars going in and out from Russian occupied territory in the south. At Least 25 civilians were killed after the missile strike that left a huge crater on the ground.

It’s been 3 days since Putin called for partial mobilization of the Russian army. The speech caused protests in more than 32 different Russian cities. The protestors called for peace with the neighboring country and rejected war.
Earlier this month US intelligence reported that North Korea has sent military equipment to Russia. North Korea recently denied the accusation of sending any equipment or ammunition to Russia after it invaded Ukraine in February. Ukrainian officials have discovered hundreds of bodies buried in eastern Ukrainian city of Izium. More than 450 dead bodies were recovered from the site as per Ukrainian officials. The city of Izium was recaptured by Ukrainian forces after being in control of Russian forces for 6 months.
Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, claimed to have retaken 6000 sq km territory as Ukrainian forces initiated the counter offensive in the south and eastern part of Ukraine.
