Putin will host an official ceremony of Annexing a large chunk of Ukrainian territory in fake referendums on Friday. Voting polls were organized by Putin-backed separatists in four major Ukrainian territories. The regions included Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia. Voting for joining Russia started on 23 September and the results were announced just recently.
The Allies Rejected The Outcome
The European Union, NATO, and Un rejected the outcome. Russian military units and their supported separatists forced people to cast votes in favor of joining Russia. Ukraine’s foreign ministry condemned the act calling it “null and worthless” after the results were announced. “An illegal attempt to grab land and change international borders by force,” President of European Commission Ursula von der Leyen said.
Ukraine To Liberate The Occupied Regions
Ukraine seems determined to liberate the regions occupied by Russian forces. “We will liberate our territory by military means,” Advisor to Ukrainian president Mykhailo Podolyak said in an interview.
