Blow To Putin As Wagner Group Rebels Against Russian Military

The notorious Wagner group has turned against the Russian military and started marching towards the capital. The Wagner mercenary group has been fighting in Ukraine since Russia invaded it and has helped Russia capture key cities. In the latest address to the nation, Putin accused the group of treason and said everything will be done to protect the state.

Russia Using Tanks As Car Bombs Against Ukrainian Troops

In a desperate effort to counter the resistance of the Ukrainian troops, Russian troops have started to improvise in their war tactics. The Russian Ministry of Defense has claimed to have detonated a remote-controlled tank, filled with 6 tons of TNT and five massive bombs, near the Ukrainian army positions in Donetsk. 

Putin Ban iPhones For Kremlin Employees

In a move to tighten the security, Moscow has told the Presidential employees to get rid of their iPhones. Putin’s administrative employees are given a one-month deadline to get rid of their iPhones and replace them with some other mobile phones.

International Court Issues Arrest Warrant For Putin

The International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladamir Putin for alleged war crimes. The Internation Criminal Court or the ICC accused the Russian President of committing war crimes against Ukrainian civilians including children. The arrest warrant was also issued for Senator Maria Lvova-Belova, Russia’s commissioner for children’s rights appointed by Putin in 2021. 

Putin Ally Belarus Sentenced Noble Prize Winner To 10 Years

A Belarusian court sentenced a renowned noble prize winner Ales Bialiatski to 10 years in jail. Bialiatski was one of the three Nobel peace prize winners in 2022. He was accused of smuggling and illegally supporting the activities of the opposition back in 2021. He was arrested amid civil unrest and protests to reject the re-election of Alexander Lukashenko, now president of Belarus. 

NATO Is Forcing US Into WW3, US Congressman Says

The US congressman, Paul Gosar said on his Twitter account that NATO is pushing the US into World War 3. While retweeting a tweet from NATO’s official Twitter account, Gosar said that the US is being dragged into someone else’s war, referring to Ukraine. NATO tweeted a photo of Ukrainian soldiers and compared them to fictional figures including Harry Potter and Marvel superheroes.

Putin Threatens Nuclear Escalation On Arming Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin threatened to unleash nuclear weapons in his latest speech. In his speech, he suspended Russia’s participation in the only nuclear arms control agreement with the United States. Putin said that he had signed a decree to “put new ground-based strategic systems” on the ground.

Report Shows Russia Lost 1,688 Tanks In Ukraine

A recent report has revealed that Russia has lost 1,500 tanks since it invaded Ukraine last year. Putin miscalculated his invasion which he thought would take no more than one month. The Dutch monitoring group said that Russia invaded Ukraine with 3,000 tanks and has lost around 1,500 till this day.

Massive Earthquakes Kill 1,900 In Turkey And Syria

Two massive earthquakes have shocked Turkey and Syria. The death toll has reached 1800 and is still rising. The powerful earthquake struck south-eastern Turkey and northern Syria causing severe infrastructure damage. The first 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck at 04:17 local time at a depth of 17.9km and the second one at 13:24 local time.
