Gunman Kills 13 Including 7 Children In Russia School Shooting

A gunman opened fire on civilians including teachers and several security guards. The incident took place in the Russian city of Izhevsk, about 1000 km east of the Russian capital, Moscow. The shooting wounded 14 children and seven adults, according to the latest reports.

North Korea Rejected Accusations Of Sending Arms To Russia

Earlier this month US intelligence reported that North Korea has sent military equipment to Russia. North Korea recently denied the accusation of sending any equipment or ammunition to Russia after it invaded Ukraine in February. Putin Wants End To War: Says Turkey’s President Erdogan

Russia wants to end the war and hold talks with the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in an interview. President Erdogan held talks with the Russian president in a meeting held in Uzbekistan on 16 September.

Russian Missiles Targeted Major Dam Causing A Flood

Central Ukrainian City came under Russian missile raids that rocked the entire city. The missiles targeted Karachunov reservoir dam that provides water to more than 650,000 people according to pre-war population census. 

Ukrainian Forces Retook 2,400 Square Miles From Russian Forces

Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, claimed to have retaken 6000 sq km territory as Ukrainian forces initiated the counter offensive in the south and eastern part of Ukraine. In a video message on Monday the president also urged the international aid, specifically air defence system, ‘‘to protect our skies’’, as he mentioned in his video message.

Russia invaded Ukraine assuming a quick victory but NATO supplied Ukraine with enough munitions and aid crashing Russian hopes of quick win. Recent development has revealed the effect of sanctions on Russian military operations in Ukraine. A report first published in The New York Times on Monday said that Russia is turning towards North Korea to acquire Military equipment to be used in the Russian war in Ukraine.
