The US is getting ready to begin a process that could result in the ultimate delivery of dozens of its M1 Abrams battle tanks to Ukraine. The Biden administration may make the announcement to send the tanks this week. The announcement came as Germany previously announced plans to send 2 leopard tanks to Ukraine.

25 people have been detained, across Germany, by the police for being involved in an anti-government coup plot. All of the individuals arrested belonged to the far-right German organization. In southern Germany, two girls, on their way to school, were attacked by a man with a knife. A 14-year-old girl died, while a 13-year-old girl has suffered significant injuries. Both the girls were transferred to the hospital where the older one died due to injuries.
