NASA To Develop Snake-Like Robot To Study Saturn Moon

NASA is set to test a new snake-like robot to study one of the 83 Saturn’s moons. The new robot called EELS, the Exobiology Extant Life Surveyor, will look for water and life-supporting evidence on the surface of Enceladus, an icy moon of Saturn planet.

SpaceX Crew-5 Astronauts Successfully Landed Near Florida

NASA’s SpaceX Crew-5 returned back to earth after spending 157 days in orbit. The spacecraft carrying the four astronauts made a safe landing in the Gulf of Mexico, not far from the Florida coast near Tampa. NASA astronauts Nicole Mann and Josh Cassada, along with Japanese astronaut Koichi Wakata, and Russian cosmonaut Anna Kikina landed on Saturday at 9:02 p.m. EST.

Space Expert Says Mars Colonization Is Impossible

To scientists, the Mars venture has become what the New World was to Europeans 600 years ago. For decades scientists have been planning out strategies to build permanent human colonies on Mars. But the opponents of colonizing Mars have a point too. A Greek American space expert, Dr Stamatios Krimigis has said that colonizing Mars is almost impossible, at least for the next 200 years.

Russian Satellite Mysteriously Blows Up In Orbit

A Russian satellite broke up in its orbit, according to the US Space Defence Squadron. The satellite blew up and the reason has not yet been investigated. The satellite after breaking up created a large, scattered scrap in the orbit.

SpaceX Launching 49 Starlink Satellites To Orbit

SpaceX is set to launch its latest batch of Starlink broadband satellites on Sunday (Today). The launch will use a Falcon 9 rocket carrying 49 Starlink satellites and is scheduled to take place at 11:47 a.m. EST from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The scheduled launch will be the 7th launch and landing for the Falcon 9 rocket.

Russia Sending Rocket To Rescue Crew From Space Station

Russia’s space agency announced that it is considering sending an empty spacecraft to the International Space Station in order to rescue 3 Cosmonauts from the International Space Station. The Soyuz spacecraft was reported to have a coolant leak in December last year caused by a meteorite hit.

NASA Mars Insight Lander About To Turn Off

After spending four years on the surface of the Red planet, NASA’s Mars insight lander is about to turn off. The amount of dust covering the lander’s solar panels has been causing its power levels to decrease for the past several months. Although NASA previously warned that InSight was not responding properly as it couldn’t respond to signals from Earth.

Mars Has 15,694 Lbs Of Human Trash

For the past 50 years, humans have sent robots and other machinery to explore Mars. These machines have either crashed or stopped working and have been just left there. As of now, there is an estimated 15,694 lbs (pounds) of trash left by human exploration.
