Ukrainian capital, Kyiv was shaken by Russian drones with multiple bombing raids. At least 7 people were killed in the air raids that were carried out by suicide drones destroying sensitive infrastructure and cutting off electricity to the region. A number of civilians were injured by the attacks, but the numbers were not confirmed by the authorities.
At Least 11 soldiers have been killed in an attack on a Russian military camp near Ukraine. The attacker also wounded 15 soldiers in the lethal attack. Attack happened in the southwestern Belgorod region that borders Ukraine.
EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said that Russian forces in Ukraine will be wiped out if it uses nuclear weapons in its war against Ukraine. While talking in Brussels that the west will respond with the same harshness to the Russian nukes. He stated this while talking to an audience in the European Diplomatic Academy.
On Wednesday, the United Nations General Assembly rejected Russia’s annexation of Ukrainian territory supported by an overwhelming majority. Russia officially occupied four key regions of Ukrainian territory in a referendum late September. The move to occupy more than 15% of the territory met with anger from the West and the United Nations.
An important bridge linking Russia to Crimea collapsed after a deadly explosion that occurred on Saturday. Russian officials have so far claimed to have arrested 8 people involved in the bomb blast that destroyed the bridge.

So far 3 people have been killed in a huge explosion that destroyed an important bridge that connects Russia to Crimea. A bomb was set inside a truck that detonated causing an explosion due to which 2 sections of the bridge collapsed.

Russian forces have been facing hundreds of casualties in its war in Ukraine and many have protested not to join Putin’s partial mobilization last month. The 2 Russian soldiers have arrived in the US by avoiding their military service in Ukraine.
With Western aid pouring in to strengthen Ukrainian military capabilities, Russia has warned US and its allies of consequences if it doesn’t cease to send aid to Ukraine. The US has sent military equipment of more than $17 billion since the start of the war.
The Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelenskiy has signed an application to join NATO after Putin announced Russian rule over more than 15% of Ukrainian territory. Putin announced the land grab in a ceremony held in Moscow where he celebrated the annexation of four Ukrainian provinces. The news was answered with condemnations from the West and UN calling it ‘Illegal’.
