Tucker Carlson criticized for interviewing Vladamir Putin

The rightwing commentator Tucker Carlson has come under serious criticism after he interviewed Russian President Vladamir Putin in Moscow.

Tucker Carlson aired the interview on Tucker Carlson Tonight, a streaming service that Carlson launched in December 2023.

Tucker Carlson Criticized

The rightwing commentator faced criticism before he even aired the interview. Hillary Clinton on Wednesday said Carlson was a “useful idiot” for the Russian President.

“He parrots Vladimir Putin’s pack of lies about Ukraine, so I don’t see why Putin wouldn’t give him an interview because, through him, he can continue to lie about what his objectives are in Ukraine and what he expects to see happen,” Clinton said.

Kremlin Rebukes Carlson

The Kremlin spokesperson rebuked Carlos when he falsely claimed he was the first media person to interview Putin when no one else ever tried.

“Mr. Carlson is wrong; we receive many requests for interviews with the president,” Dmitry Peskov, a Kremlin spokesperson, said.
