Japanese Ship Sunk By US In WW2 Discovered After 80 Years

Wreckage of the Japanese ship that sank during World War 2 has been discovered. The ship named SS Montevideo Maru was hit by torpedoes launched by the US submarine near the coast of Philippines on first of July, 1942. The US submarine was unaware of the fact the ship was carrying Australian prisoners of war.

Thailand Warship Sinks Carrying More Than Hundred

Thailand’s naval ship,  HTMS Sukhothai, sank in the gulf of Thailand carrying 106 sailors. Videos shared on social media revealed shocking scenes of a sinking ship just before ocean waves took away its peaceful ride. About 20 nautical miles out to sea, the loss of power and water waves disabled its engines. According to the latest reports, more than 30 sailors are still missing.

Holocaust Survivor Who Fled Nazis, Dies At 93

Hannah Goslar, who fled the Nazi persecution in childhood has died at the age of 93. She was held in Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in the second world war. Her family left Nazi Germany and settled in Amsterdam in 1933.

Poland Demands Germany To Pay $1.3 Trillion For World War II Damages

The Polish government has demanded Germany to pay $3 trillion compensation for its alleged role in destroying Poland in the second world war. Such demands have been put forward by Poland in the past as well.
