International Court Issues Arrest Warrant For Putin

The International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladamir Putin for alleged war crimes. The Internation Criminal Court or the ICC accused the Russian President of committing war crimes against Ukrainian civilians including children. The arrest warrant was also issued for Senator Maria Lvova-Belova, Russia’s commissioner for children’s rights appointed by Putin in 2021. 

US Suspects Chinese Port Cranes Of Spying

US officials have raised concerns about the Chinese cranes operating at US ports. Officials in the US are suspecting the Chinese-made cranes of spying for the Chinese government. Pentagon has compared the Chinese cranes to a Trojan horse, spying over the in and out shipments of the US.

In his speech, he suspended Russia’s participation in the only nuclear arms control agreement with the United States. Several Russian military aircrafts were intercepted by NORAD jets over Alaska. A total of four Russian aircrafts including a fighter jet and a bomber were flying over the international air space over Alaska, when they were diverted back to the Russian air space.

A recent report has revealed that Russia has lost 1,500 tanks since it invaded Ukraine last year. Putin miscalculated his invasion which he thought would take no more than one month. China Threatens After US Shoots Down Chinese Spy Balloon

China has threatened to respond after the US shot down the second Chinese spy balloon. The US recently shot down the second Chinese balloon that was spotted over Latin America. US officials advised not to shoot down the first balloon as it could hurt the civilian population. The US secretary of state, Antony Blinken also cancelled the two-day visit to China that was due to take place on Sunday.

An alleged spy balloon has been in the air for the last few days. The balloon has been flying over sensitive locations such as nuclear sites and military installations. Defence officials said that the suspected airborne device “surely” belongs to China and is using it for surveillance.
