Streets in San Francisco have been cleared out entirely for the arrival of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
People took to X, formerly Twitter, to express their astonishment at the clean streets.
Governor Gavin Newsom said it was true that the streets were cleared to welcome the Chinese President.

Americans took to X and posted before and after images of the San Francisco streets, which looked very different.
Almost all users on the social media platform criticized Joe Biden for clearing up his citizens to show the positive side of his country.

Chinese President Xi Jinping has already arrived in the US to participate in the APEC (Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation) summit.
President Joe Biden told reporters that he will discuss bilateral trade and opening up military-to-military contacts with Xi.
