Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands, has banned cruise ships in a bid to decrease pollution and over tourism. The Amsterdam administration enforced the ban after the city council proposed to shut the cruise ship terminal in the city.
An asteroid was seen entering the earth’s atmosphere that could have disappeared somewhere in the French city of Rouen. Scientists predicted the asteroid a day before it hit the earth’s atmosphere. The 1-meter-sized asteroid showed the “fireball” effect as was shown in several videos uploaded online.
Armed with metal detectors and other equipment, people from the eastern side of the Netherlands are looking for a possible treasure. An old map has sparked a treasure hunt and it is believed to indicate a treasure hidden by Nazi soldiers in the second world war.
Scientists were able to cure a cancer patient by using the stem cells of the patient’s salivary glands. The stem cells from his glands were developed before being reinjected to the cancer patient. The patient, Kasper van den Noort, will soon be able to live his normal life after the treatment.
