Elon Musk’s Neuralink has successfully raised $280 million in a recent funding cycle. The chip implants startup, which lets users control their mobile and computer devices through their brains, recently received an approval for human clinical trials. The startup is able to install chip implants as small as 4 to 6 μm in width and has already passed its tests on animals.
Elon Musk has said X, previously known as twitter, will pay legal bills of those users who are treated unfairly by the platform. The users who like something on the platform and face consequences will be paid by X and the financial assistance will have “no limits”, he said.
Ex-twitter employee Esther Crawford has said that Elon Musk is destroying twitter after he rebranded the platform recently. Crawford, the product manager, went viral for her photo last year when she slept at twitter office to show her hard work. Crawford has come out as a critic of the new changes Musk has introduced in the platform after she was fired in February.
Elon Musk recently surprised its twitter users’ base by announcing that he is working on changing the bird logo. Elon Musk revealed that the beloved feathery symbol that users have become familiar with will soon be replaced, and he favors the letter “X” as its replacement.
Meta’s recently released Threads application has achieved an impressive user base of over 100 million users, surpassing even ChatGPT’s growth rate. While OpenAI’s chatbot reached this milestone within two months, Threads managed to accomplish the same feat in just a matter of days since its launch last Wednesday.
Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, is set to launch twitter rival on Thursday. The new app known as “Threads” is available for pre-order on Apple’s App store and is expected to give tough competition to twitter. It seems like Mark Zuckerberg is capitalizing on the sidelined & unsatisfied twitter market, after Musk introduced some rules which displeased the users.
Twitter has imposed temporary restrictions on the number of tweets users can read. Thousands of people complained about the access to the platform after twitter limited the number of tweets unverified users can read to 1,000 per day. Elon Musk tweeted that only verified users will be able to view 10,000 posts per day.
