Astronomers Discovered 200+ New Planets In 2022

In 2020 alone, Astronomers have managed to discover more than 200 new planets. All the newly discovered planets are outside of our solar system. The search for a planet similar to Earth has been underway for decades, although methods and technology for planet discovery have been evolving with time.

NASA Mars Insight Lander About To Turn Off

After spending four years on the surface of the Red planet, NASA’s Mars insight lander is about to turn off. The amount of dust covering the lander’s solar panels has been causing its power levels to decrease for the past several months. Although NASA previously warned that InSight was not responding properly as it couldn’t respond to signals from Earth.

Astronomers Detect Black Hole Swallowing A Star

The scientists released an image that shows a black hole in the process of completely destroying a celestial body. More than halfway across the known universe, astronomers have observed a black hole ripping apart a star that got too near to it. One of just four instances, and the first since 2011, of a black hole being seen ripping apart a passing star happened in this instance.

Mysterious Solar System Discovered Deep Inside Space

We, as the inhabitants of a solar system of our own, have never given a thought if there’s any other plenary system beyond ours. A new mysterious planetary, that is 90 light-years away, has just been discovered by scientists. But this solar system is unlike ours. The research was published in Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, a leading astronomy journal.
