President Biden Visits Ukraine Ahead Of War Anniversary

US President Joe Biden makes a surprise visit to the Ukrainian capital today. He arrived in the Ukrainian capital just 4 days ahead of the first war anniversary. Joe Biden’s visit was unannounced and was under complete secrecy, to show support for President Volodymyr Zelensky and Ukraine’s resistance against the Russian invasion. He arrived by train after 10 hours of travel from Poland’s border.

Chinese Aircraft Carrier Sails Close To US Military Base

Chinese Naval ships were seen sailing close to the United States’ territory of Guam. The People’s Liberation Army naval aircraft carrier sailed close to the United States’ Island. Guam has strategic U.S. naval and air force bases in the Pacific Ocean.  

US To Supply $775 Million Worth Of Military Equipment To Ukraine.

On Friday, 19 August, Defense Department announced the release of a support package for Ukraine. The package of $775 Million worth military equipment will enhance the already highly equipped and sophisticated Ukrainian forces. The United States has been providing Ukraine with billions of military aid since 2014 with $10 billion only last year.
