Japan has culled more than 40,000 birds amid an outbreak of bird flu. The government detected a highly pathogenic avian influenza outbreak in southern parts of Japan.
Bird flue has been increasing its foothold in the US, Asia, Latin America, and Europe. The US reported more than hundreds of millions of cases in poultry costing the US government around $660 million. The virus has already spread to other mammals such as bears and red foxes in the US.
Avian flu has killed more chicken and turkeys this year as compared to 2015 outbreak. The recent virus has different features and has adapted to the environment raising concerns of the concerned authorities.
As a precaution, local poultry has been culled due to a bird flu outbreak in Israel that has killed more than 5,000 migratory cranes. Authorities
