Israel Seizes Lebanese Castle As Ground Offensive Expands

Israel seizes castle in Lebanon as it expands ground offensive.

How far will Israel go in its campaign against Hezbollah?

That question is becoming harder to answer as Israeli forces push deeper into southern Lebanon and expand evacuation orders across the region.

The Israeli military has once again warned residents south of the Zahrani River to leave.

By saying anyone near Hezbollah fighters or military infrastructure is putting their life at risk

The announcement came as the army confirmed it had captured Beaufort Castle.

A centuries-old fortress overlooking the Litani River and one of the area’s most strategic positions.

Israeli officials see the capture as both a military and symbolic victory.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that Israel had “broken the barrier of fear.”

While Defence Minister Israel Katz described the operation as a crucial step in protecting Israeli communities near the border.

But the offensive is drawing growing international criticism.

UN Security Council Meets On Escalation

France has called for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council.

Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot warns that Israel’s expanding operations represent a “major mistake.”

Meanwhile, the human cost continues to rise.

Lebanese authorities say more than 3,300 people have been killed since fighting reignited in March, while Israel reports 25 military fatalities.

Israel’s military says it captured Beaufort Castle, a strategic fort in southern Lebanon.

Hospitals, towns and communities on both sides of the border remain under pressure.

As diplomats prepare for another round of talks in Washington, the battlefield continues to expand.

And with neither side showing signs of backing down, peace remains as distant as ever.
