You finally crawl into bed, ready for a good night’s sleep.
Hours later, you wake up with a throat drier than the Sahara and a partner threatening to move to the couch because of your snoring.
Sound familiar? Your vape might be to blame.
Sleep expert Martin Seeley warns that vaping, much like smoking, can wreak havoc on your sleep.
“Cigarette and tobacco smoke irritate the airways and throat, causing swelling and a build-up of mucus,” he explains.
The result? Snoring. Lots of it.
But here’s the kicker—vaping might actually be worse.
Seeley points to a recent study showing that vaping can cause even more throat irritation than smoking.
Who’s The Culprit?
The culprit? Propylene glycol, an ingredient that sucks moisture from your throat, leaving it dry and irritated.
Pair that with nicotine relaxing your throat muscles, and you’ve got a recipe for airway obstruction, extra snoring, and seriously restless nights.
Seeley suggests quitting or at least avoiding vaping before bed. He also recommends sleeping on your side, skipping the nightcap, and maybe investing in better pillows.

Because, let’s be honest—if your partner isn’t sleeping, neither are you.
