Medical Transport Plane Carrying Child & Mother Crashes in Philadelphia

Philadelphia plane crash

A routine medical flight turned catastrophic Friday evening when a small air ambulance crashed into a residential neighborhood in northeast Philadelphia.

The crash set ablaze homes and cars and left a trail of destruction.

Plan Was Carrying A Child

The plane was carrying a child patient, her mother, and four crew members and was en route to Mexico when it went down near Roosevelt Mall.

“We know that there will be loss,” Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro said, calling it an “awful aviation disaster.”

Fate of Passengers Remains Unclear

Emergency crews arrived at a chaotic scene—flames, debris, and injured residents.

Temple University Hospital treated six people hurt on the ground, three of whom have since been released.

The fate of those aboard remains unclear. The crash site, a densely populated area lined with homes and businesses, is now under investigation.

Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker urged caution: “If you see debris, call 911. Don’t touch anything.”
