Elon Musk has done it again.
This time by renaming himself “Kekius Maximus” on X, a social media platform he owns.
The internet, as expected, is buzzing.
Musk, famously the world’s richest man and a close ally of President-Elect Donald Trump, left followers guessing about the meaning behind his new moniker and profile picture.
The image? None other than Pepe the Frog, dressed like a Roman soldier and holding what looks like a game controller.
If that sounds random, welcome to the world of Elon Musk.
But What Does It Mean?
For context, “Kek” is a gamer slang term akin to “LOL,” but it’s also tied to alt-right memes.
To make things even weirder, “Kek” is the name of an ancient Egyptian god of darkness.
The centuries-old god is often depicted with a frog’s head.
And “Maximus”?
Likely a nod to the Gladiator character Maximus Decimus Meridius.
