Fears of an all-out war, possibly a third World War, escalated to an all-time high when Russia fired Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBM) in Ukraine.
First, the Ukrainian media reported a possible ICBM strike in Dnipro but the news was brushed aside as “false”.
The rumors proved to be authentic when Russian President Putin confirmed the use of high-tech ICBM in Ukraine in a retaliatory strike.
Why Russia Used ICBM in Ukraine?
The strike was in response to Ukraine’s use of US-made ATACMS missiles in Russian territory.
The advanced weapons were used against Russian territory after the US allowed using its weapons against Russia.
After the strikes, Russian lawmakers cautioned that the move could escalate into World War 3 if not controlled.
It was at this time that the Russian military launched an ICBM attack, a missile that can hit any place in the world.
Military experts believe Russia might hit major European cities if the war continued.
