Crew Missing After US Navy Aircraft Crashes in Washington

A US Navy EA-18G Growler aircraft crashed east of Mount Rainier in Washington state.

The aircraft crashed during a routine training flight on Tuesday evening, the US Navy said.

The Navy announced that the status of the two crew members remains unknown, and a search operation is underway.

Two Crew Members Missing

Two of the crew members flying the training aircraft have been reported missing, the press release said.

The EA-18G Growler is an electronic attack aircraft from Electronic Attack Squadron 130 (VAQ-130) and has been used for training purposes by the US Navy.

A Navy MH-60S helicopter has been deployed from the station to assist in the search efforts, and more details will be shared as they become available.
