A Nova explosion that took place around 3,000 years ago can be seen from the planet Earth with the naked eye, astronomers have said.
Astronomers said that the event is once in a life-time and people are urged not to miss this awesome celestial event.
According to NASA, T Coronae Borealis, or the “Blaze Star,” is a pair of stars 3,000 light-years away and can be seen with the naked eye every 79 to 80 years.
Exact Time is Unknown
Although astronomers couldn’t predict the exact time and date of the event, they did say that it is imminent in a few days.
Physics and astronomy professor Bradley Schaefer told ABC News that the sudden decrease in brightness of the star indicates that the event is just around the corner.
To find T Coronae Borealis without a telescope, astronomers suggested using a Big Dipper.
Skygazers should see a group of stars forming a tight “U” shape and bright light during the explosion.
