Two Planes Come Dangerously Close Mid-Air Over New York Airport

A near-collision between two passenger planes over Syracuse Hancock Airport in New York has prompted an investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The planes were carrying a combined total of 159 people with Delta Air Lines flight 5421 carrying 80 people and American Airlines flight 5511 carrying 79 people.

Police footage shows the two planes getting dangerously close to each other before safely crossing paths.
