Microsoft has warned that China will be using Artificial Intelligence to disrupt the upcoming elections in various democratic countries.
Microsoft said in a statement that Communist China will target elections in the US, India, and South Korea by using AI-generated content to favor pro-China candidates.
China To Target Elections
The US-based tech giant said it expects the Chinese state-owned cyber groups to target high-profile elections and individuals participating in the elections.
“We are likely to see Chinese cyber and influence actors, and to some extent North Korean cyber actors,” the announcement claimed.
China To Use AI-Content
The report focused on Artificial Intelligence content that is easy to create and can have significant influence.
Microsoft warned that although the impact of AI-generated content remains low, Chinese hackers and cyber experts are always experimenting to come up with new things in the field.
