NASA Finds ‘Christmas Tree’ Like Cluster of Stars in Milky Way

NASA has released images of a “Christmas tree” like a cluster of stars. The agency said on Tuesday that it found NGC 2264, a grouping of young stars resembling a Christmas tree surrounded by brighter stars. Scientists said the cluster of stars is approximately 2,500 light-years away from our planet.

NASA Rotated The Picture

According to a Mirror report, NASA has rotated the image to make it resemble a Christmas tree. NASA said on its website that the stars that make up the cluster are both smaller and larger than our planet’s sole star, our sun.

NASA Fans Are Astonished

NASA’s fans on social media were blown away as they immediately noticed something similar. One user on X wrote, “Merry Christmas from millions of light-years away the Christmas Tree Cluster “. Thousands of people felt quite relatable as Christmas week is currently being observed in the Christian world.
