Heatwaves have become more and more frequent in the last few years, thanks to the increasing global temperatures. Chinese capital Beijing recorded the hottest day in the last 60 years with mercury hitting 41.1C (105.9F).
While the search for the missing tourist submarine continues, officials are worried that the submarine may not have enough oxygen by now. The OceanGate Expeditions exploratory submarine called Titan went missing on June 18 and the rescue teams have not been able to locate its whereabouts after days of search.
The Australian cyber watchdog has given 28 days ultimatum to twitter to clean up its platform from hate speech. The Australian internet safety watchdog wanted the platform to respond to multiple complaints filed against it or face a penalty of hundreds of thousands of dollars.
