Apple Bans Employees From Using ChatGPT

Apple has banned its employees from using the AI chatbot ChatGPT fearing it might leak data. The company’s crackdown occurred as some leaked documents revealed that Apple is worried about the AI tools as they might leak important information.

Apple Accuses AI Tools Of Data Breach

As per leaked documents obtained by The Wall Street Journal, Apple has expressed concerns regarding the potential of leaking confidential information about their advanced technological projects by employees who are using ChatGPT and Microsoft’s GitHub Copilot. The AI models being integrated into everyday life send data back to developers to get smarter, but it could also breach data, some experts believe.

Apple Building Own Model

As per the Wall Street Journal, Apple’s spokeswoman said that Apple is working to build its own language model to compete with the big tech giants in the industry.  On June 5, the other high tech aspects will be revealed by the CEO Tim Cook at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference.
