Skywatchers at Alaska witnesses a giant mystery spiral in the skies of Alaska. Early on Saturday morning, residents in Alaska who were watching for the aurora borealis were surprised by the sudden appearance of a large spiral shape in the sky. They promptly shared images on various social media platforms and discussed the possible reasons behind the appearance of the bluish-white spiral.
SpaceX Falcon 9
Officials soon realized that it was a SpaceX’s rocket Falcon 9, which was launched from California. Geophysicist Don Hampton was contacted for a comment to which he said it is probably a rocket, because it has happened in the past. According to researchers at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, the presence of an unusually large spiral shape in the sky was attributed to the release of extra fuel from a SpaceX rocket, which turned ice after it came in contact with the atmosphere.
