The Former US President Donald Trump has called for mass protests across the country as he fears arrest. Trump said he is expecting to be arrested on Tuesday in a hush money case that he paid to a former adult actress. He has called upon his supporters to rally across the country ahead of his alleged arrest.
The Case Of Stormy Daniels
The investigation is focused on the payment that Donald Trump’s ex-personal lawyer made to the adult actress, Stephanie Clifford. The payment was made to Daniels before the 2016 election campaign, to cover up the affair Trump had with her. The CBS News’ 60 Minutes programme reported that Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, even threatened Daniels when she intended to talk about the affair to a famous magazine.
First Criminal Case
If the district attorney were to accuse Donald Trump, it would be first time in the US history that a former US President to be charged with a crime. Trump, who is already facing multiple charges, have already called upon his followers for protest just like he did during the US Capitol riots in 2021.
