Boris Johnson, the former British Prime Minister, claimed that Russian President Vladimir Putin threatened him with a missile strike on phone before the invasion of Ukraine. The Kremlin has denied the allegations.
Would Only Take A Minute
Johnson stated that Putin inquired about Ukraine’s chances of joining NATO, to which Johnson replied that it was unlikely in the near future. Boris Johnson said that Putin threatened and said it “would only take a minute”. It’s not clear if Putin was really serious about blowing up the entire UK as Jhonson mentioned that Putin was talking in a very “relaxed tone”.
Russia Denies Threats
Meanwhile Russia has rejected the United Kingdom’s former Prime Minister’s remarks. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the former Prime Minister was lying. He also said that the UK’s then Prime Minister misunderstood what Putin was trying to say.
