One pilot has died in a mid-air collision of two Indian Air Force fighter jets in central India during a routine training mission. The planes had taken off from Gwailor air base in Madhya Pradesh and an inquiry has been ordered to determine the cause of the crash.
Russian And French Jets
The aircrafts involved were a Russian Sukhoi Su-30 with two pilots and a French Mirage 2000 with one pilot. “We have located the wreckage of one of the planes,” One of the police officers said, talking about the wreckage they found in the neighbouring states of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan’s Bharatpur.

One of the three pilots involved, sustained fatal injuries. An inquiry has been ordered to determine the cause of the accident.
1 Pilot Missing
According to the media reports, one pilot is still missing and search and rescue operation is underway in surrounding areas. The crash resulted in one death and one injury while the third pilot had not yet been found.
