Apple has reportedly scrapped launching the fourth-generation iPhone SE 4, which was expected to be released next year. According to Ming-Chi Kuo, an expert in the field, Apple has informed sources in the supply chain that it will no longer produce a fourth-generation model.
“Canceled” Not Delayed
Previously Kuo predicted a possible delay in launching the latest version but according to the latest instructions by the company “2024 iPhone SE 4 have been canceled,” he said. If the claim of cancellation is true, it would mark the end of a once-popular handset. The device, iPhone SE, was first launched in 2016.

My latest survey indicates that Apple will likely cancel or postpone the mass production plan for the 2024 iPhone SE 4. I think this is due to the consistently lower-than-expected shipments of mid-to-low-end iPhones (e.g., SE 3, 13 mini, and 14 Plus),
The Declining Sales
Lower than expected sales might be the reason for scrapping the new model of iPhone SE, Kuo mentioned in his blog. The overall phone sales declined by 9.1% in 2022.
