A Canadian woman is facing 65 criminal charges after police allege she stole from patients and staff at several healthcare facilities across Ontario.
Ontario Provincial Police identified the suspect as 34-year-old Nassim Eronn of Burlington.
Investigators say the alleged incidents began in February 2024 and continued until last month, spanning five healthcare centres.
The charges include 34 counts of fraud, 13 theft charges, breaches of a court order, breach of trust and impersonation.
But how did the alleged activity continue across multiple hospitals?
The investigation began in May after complaints were made at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital.
Police later expanded the probe after identifying similar allegations at other facilities.
“Multiple search warrants were executed where significant amounts of property were seized,” police said.
Potential Additional Victims
Investigators have not disclosed the woman’s specific role at the hospitals, but they believe there could be additional victims.
Police are asking people to check their financial records for suspicious transactions and come forward with information.
The facilities involved include hospitals and health centres in Orillia, Orangeville, Mississauga and Toronto.
Alleged incidents covering different periods between 2024 and 2026.
