Remote Job Listings Running Out

LinkedIn data shows that remote job listings are declining, reports Bloomberg. The falling offers to work from home or anywhere come at a time when job seekers show increased appetite for remote work.

However, as the economy is slowing down, available job offers are in short supply, even as the job market remains strong and job-seekers hold large leverage in negotiations.

With the pandemic’s forced work-from-home switch, trends like digital nomading took off. Many people started working remotely while traveling to increase their quality of life and saving valuable hours by skipping daily commutes.

With a slowing economy it is to be expected that job seekers will see their negotiating power decline and thus might be forced to quit their work-from-anywhere aspirations.
