Recently the Biden Administration was called on to reverse the ban on travelers from the bloc. They were urged by the European Union’s top officials to take action within weeks, matching their openings to the Americans.
In June, the EU recommended that the members of the state should permit unimportant travel for all Americans, irrespective of whether they were vaccinated or not. However, the final decision regarding this matter will be taken by the members of the National Authorities.
Bloc’s travel access list is reviewed by the EU officials at weekly intervals. They are witnessing an increased number of cases in the US with rapid growth in the spread of the Delta Variant. The EU diplomats’ comment that there are high possibilities that traveling for unvaccinated individuals will again get banned before the end of this summer.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen’s comment on Wednesday serves as an indicator that in this current COVID-19 pandemic Americans might again get banned from visiting Europe.
As the Americans keep their borders closed for the Europeans, they are simultaneously facing pressure from Germany and the member states that they will ban all unimportant US visitors. Every EU member state has the authority to decide, whether they would allow vaccinated visitors to come or not.
