Tesla is recalling more than 285,000 vehicles in China—most of them made locally—because of safety risks associated with their cruise-control system.
The recall of the U.S. company’s automobiles came after an investigation into the possible issues, which found that their cruise-control system could be accidentally enabled which could cause an increase the speed, said the State Administration for Market Regulation.
The recall includes 249K+ Model 3 sedans and Model Y compact crossover vehicles manufactured by Tesla’s Shanghai plant in China.
Tesla informed their customers that they can update the cruise control software remotely instead of going to a shop.
