It started like any ordinary Saturday night train ride — until chaos broke out.
Passengers on a service from Doncaster to London suddenly heard screams and shouts before panic swept through the carriages.
Within minutes, nine people were fighting for their lives after a brutal stabbing attack that Prime Minister Keir Starmer called “deeply concerning.”
Police swarmed Huntingdon Station, where the train made an emergency stop.
Two suspects were arrested after what officers described as a “major incident.”
The counterterrorism unit briefly joined the investigation, with police declaring a “marauding terrorist attack” response — before later scaling it back.
Train Attack Investigation
Witnesses described horrifying scenes. “At first, I thought it was a Halloween prank,” said Wren Chambers.
She saw a man running past her carriage, bleeding heavily.
Another passenger told Sky News he watched officers shout “Get down!” before tasing a suspect waving a large knife.

Emergency crews, including air ambulances and hazardous response teams, flooded the area.
“It’s a shocking incident,” said Chief Superintendent Chris Casey, adding that investigations were still in the early stages.
As police search for answers, Britain is left reeling.
On a train meant to connect cities, fear and violence instead brought the journey to a halt.
It was a chilling reminder of how quickly ordinary moments can turn extraordinary.
