World’s largest cruise ship that is five times bigger than the Titanic set sail last week. Icon of the Seas has already amassed £5 million in advance bookings before its official maiden voyage in January. With a length that falls just 52 feet shy of the Empire State Building’s height (excluding the spire), the ship showcases an impressive size comparison.
Inside of World’s Largest Cruise Ship
Surpassing the current record-holder, Wonder Of The Seas, the Royal Caribbean ship exceeds it by an additional 10 feet in length. It has a maximum capacity of 7,600 passengers and accommodates around 2,350 crew members. Notably, the vessel features a remarkable three-storey ‘townhouse’ cabin, considered the largest at sea.
World’s Largest Waterpark
The enormous cruise ship has the world’s largest onboard waterpark with an astonishing 66-degree incline drop, 40 bars and restaurants. Setting sail from Miami, the £1.5 billion ship will embark on a series of four Caribbean cruises after it successfully completes its sea testing.
