World’s largest cruise ship that is five times bigger than the Titanic set sail last week. Icon of the Seas has already amassed £5 million in advance bookings before its official maiden voyage in January. With a length that falls just 52 feet shy of the Empire State Building’s height (excluding the spire), the ship showcases an impressive size comparison.
Oceangate, the company who owned the Titan exploratory submarine, has suspended all of its operations. The company’s website posted a statement saying it has suspended all of its explorations and commercial operations. It couldn’t not have been verified why it took so long for the company to publicly denounce all operations.
While the search for the missing tourist submarine continues, officials are worried that the submarine may not have enough oxygen by now. The OceanGate Expeditions exploratory submarine called Titan went missing on June 18 and the rescue teams have not been able to locate its whereabouts after days of search.
