OceanGate Suspends All Operations After Submarine Imploded

Oceangate, the company who owned the Titan exploratory submarine, has suspended all of its operations. The company’s website posted a statement saying it has suspended all of its explorations and commercial operations. It couldn’t not have been verified why it took so long for the company to publicly denounce all operations.

The Titan Submarine Tragedy

The tragedy unfolded on 18 June when the Titan submarine reportedly went missing with five passengers on board. After 4 days of search and rescue operations, the US coast guard finally revealed that the submarine had suffered a fatal implosion, killing all five passengers instantly. Oceangate’s CEO Stockton Rush was also among those killed including 2 Pakistani billionaires, French submarine expert Paul-Henri and a British explorer Hamish Harding.
