A 25-Ton Chinese Rocket Is Falling Back To Earth

Approximately 66 million years ago, an asteroid named ‘Chicxulub’ hit the earth and ended the age of dinosaurs. Now, almost the same thing is about to happen when a Chinese rocket named ‘Long March 5-B’ is going to hit the earth somewhere at a speed of thousands of miles per hour. The only difference between the two events is the first one wiped out 99% of life on the planet while the chances of the second one causing a casualty or injury are 1 in 10000.

With Space X mission of launching rockets more than 60 times in 2022 and conducting three launches within 36 hours span last week, China is also continuing its quest to carry out more than 50 orbital launches this year with a pair of missions lifting off within just over 24 hours of each other.

China Launched Crewed Mission To Complete Its Space Station Assembly

China on Sunday launched three astronauts into space as a part of its mission to complete assembly work on its permanent orbiting space station. The ‘Shenzhou 14’ crew blasted off from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center on the edge of the Gobi Desert at 10:44 a.m. (02:44  p.m. CST). The three astronauts will spend the next six months on China’s Tiangong space station, which translates to “heavenly palace.”
