Meta’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg was asked to hand over documents about content moderation of Meta’s latest application called Threads. The development was made on the basis of previous subpoenas sent by the government to the 5 tech giants to reveal their content moderation policies.
Meta’s recently released Threads application has achieved an impressive user base of over 100 million users, surpassing even ChatGPT’s growth rate. While OpenAI’s chatbot reached this milestone within two months, Threads managed to accomplish the same feat in just a matter of days since its launch last Wednesday.
Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, is set to launch twitter rival on Thursday. The new app known as “Threads” is available for pre-order on Apple’s App store and is expected to give tough competition to twitter. It seems like Mark Zuckerberg is capitalizing on the sidelined & unsatisfied twitter market, after Musk introduced some rules which displeased the users.
