Meta To Launch Twitter Rival App On Thursday

Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, is set to launch twitter rival on Thursday. The new app known as “Threads” is available for pre-order on Apple’s App store and is expected to give tough competition to twitter. It seems like Mark Zuckerberg is capitalizing on the sidelined & unsatisfied twitter market, after Musk introduced some rules which displeased the users.

The Threads

Threads has combined the elements of both Instagram and Twitter to make the platform more appealing to its existing audience. Unlike Twitter, Instagram has been a lot more personal where people share their personal photos on their accounts and engage with users via multiple means. Threads aims to transfer all the young audience of Instagram and Facebook, to a platform that not only looks familiar but can rival Elon Musk’s Twitter.

Threads Have Already Come Under Fire

Meanwhile, Twitter reacted with despair to the newly developed app, accusing it of breaching privacy as it collects private data of all of its users. “Unsurprisingly, Meta’s Twitter competitor collects all of your data”, one twitter user said while reviewing the upcoming app. There were at least hundreds of other users who expressed the same opinion online.
