The Ukrainian soldier, Yaroslav Hunka, was celebrated as a “Ukrainian Hero” by Canada’s House of Commons. The House Speaker Anthony Rota apologized when he realized that Hunka served in 14th Waffen-SS Grenadier Division, accused of killing jews.

Ex-Nazi Typist Convicted Of Complicity In 10,500 Murders

After being found guilty of complicity in the death of more than 10,500 prisoners locked at a Nazi concentration camp, a 97-year-old former secretary was given a two-year suspended sentence. Irmgard Furchner had worked as secretary to lieutenant colonel Paul Werner Hoppe at Stutthof Nazi concentration camp and worked there from 1943 to 1945.

Holocaust Survivor Who Fled Nazis, Dies At 93

Hannah Goslar, who fled the Nazi persecution in childhood has died at the age of 93. She was held in Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in the second world war. Her family left Nazi Germany and settled in Amsterdam in 1933.
