Meta Launches Cheaper Range of AI Smart Glasses

Meta launches cheaper range of AI smart glasses.

What if your next pair of glasses could do far more than help you see?

Meta is betting that the future of artificial intelligence might sit right on your face.

The tech giant has teamed up once again with EssilorLuxottica to launch a new line of AI-powered smart glasses.

This time with a much lower starting price of $299.

That’s a significant drop from last year’s $800 Ray-Ban Display glasses, making the technology more accessible to everyday users.

Unlike previous models, the new Meta Glasses won’t carry famous eyewear brands like Ray-Ban or Oakley.

Instead, they feature fresh designs, including rectangular frames and a slim oval collection created in partnership with media personality Kylie Jenner.

AI Smart Glasses Race Heats Up

The glasses are also the first to launch with Meta AI powered by Muse Spark, a new model developed by the company’s Superintelligence Labs.

Meta believes devices like these will play a major role in delivering what it calls “personal intelligence” directly to consumers.

Industry experts say Meta currently dominates the smart glasses market, accounting for more than three-quarters of global shipments last year.

With rivals like Google, Apple and Snap racing to develop their own wearable devices, the battle for AI-powered eyewear is heating up fast.

The question now is simple: will smart glasses become the next smartphone—or just another tech experiment?
