Who knew stealing toys could land you in this much trouble?
An Australian man has been charged after allegedly swiping dozens of Labubu dolls.
Yes, those mischievous, elf-like collectibles that have fans queuing for hours.
Police say the 40-year-old made off with 43 of them, worth nearly A$9,000 ($5,800), during a string of shopping centre robberies since July.
When Victoria Police raided his Melbourne property, they found limited-edition Labubus—some fetching up to A$500 each.
In a cheekily titled press release, “These Labubu are not for you you,” officers announced charges of four counts of burglary and two of theft.
The man’s now out on bail and due back in court next May.

What’s Behind The Labubu Mania?
Created by Chinese toy maker Pop Mart, these quirky figures have become a global sensation.
They have nine-toothed grins and plush bodies. They were launched in 2019.
They’ve even got celebrity fans like Kim Kardashian and K-pop star Lisa from Blackpink. Pop Mart’s success story is impressive.
However, its stock recently dipped after JPMorgan warned the company might be “overvalued.”
Still, one thing’s clear: whether on shelves or in court cases, Labubu dolls have everyone talking.
