French Police Search For Suspects In Louvre Jewel Heist

French police hunt Louvre jewel thieves.

Paris woke up to a royal mystery — and a national embarrassment.

In broad daylight, a team of thieves pulled off an audacious heist at the Louvre.

They stole eight priceless pieces of royal jewellery in just seven minutes.

Sixty investigators are now on the case, working under the theory that an organised crime group planned the raid down to the second.

The thieves reportedly used a furniture hoist to reach the Apollo Gallery — home to the crown jewels of France.

They then cut through a window and smashed open display cases.

A brief video of the masked robbers, filmed by a stunned visitor, has since gone viral.

Among The Missing Treasures?

One crown was even dropped during the getaway.

“These jewels can’t just be sold as-is — they’re too famous,” said Alexandre Giquello of Drouot Patrimoine.

The theft, France’s first from the Louvre since 1998, has reignited a furious debate over museum security.

Far-right leader Jordan Bardella called it a “national humiliation.”

President Macron vowed that “everything is being done” to recover the treasures.

But the question remains: how did the world’s most famous museum get robbed in plain sight?
