Sean “Diddy” Combs — one of hip-hop’s biggest names — is heading to prison.
The 55-year-old music mogul was sentenced to just over four years.
He was convicted on prostitution-related charges involving two of his ex-girlfriends.
It was a tense day in court. Prosecutors pushed for an 11-year sentence, citing years of abuse.
His lawyers asked for just over a year, arguing Combs had changed after 13 months behind bars.
The courtroom heard tearful pleas from his children, impassioned words from his lawyers, and finally, an apology from Diddy himself.
“My actions were disgusting, shameful, and sick,” he said, his voice breaking. “I got lost in excess. I got lost in my ego.”
Diddy’s Fall From Power
Prosecutors described him as a man who “used control as currency.”
The defence painted a picture of redemption — a once-powerful star now humbled, sober, and mentoring others in jail.
But Judge Arun Subramanian wasn’t convinced.

“You abused them — physically, emotionally, and psychologically,” he said before handing down the 50-month sentence and a $500,000 fine.
Diddy will get credit for time already served, but his legal team plans to appeal.
The once untouchable mogul now faces his biggest fall yet — from hip-hop royalty to a prison cell, and from power to reckoning.
