Trump Sends Troops To Portland, Authorizes ‘Full Force’

Trump orders deployment of troops to Portland and authorises 'full force'.

President Donald Trump is sending troops to Portland — and he’s not mincing words about it.

On Truth Social, he claimed Portland was “war-ravaged.”

He announced he’s authorizing the use of “full force” if needed.

This is to protect federal facilities from what he called attacks by Antifa and “other domestic terrorists.”

But is Oregon really a war zone? Local leaders say absolutely not.

Oregon Governor Tina Kotek responded bluntly: “There is no national security threat in Portland.

Our communities are safe and calm.” Portland’s mayor echoed the pushback, insisting the number of troops needed is “zero.”

What’s Really Going On?

ICE’s Portland facility has been the focus of protests for months, with DHS accusing demonstrators of doxxing officers and sending death threats.

Earlier this week, Trump formally designated Antifa a domestic terror group.

Legal experts point out there’s no mechanism under U.S. law to do so, and it may violate First Amendment protections.

Some Republicans praise the move as restoring order; critics see it as replaying the “federal crackdown” of 2020.

Whether Trump uses the National Guard or regular troops remains unclear.

One thing’s certain: Portland has again become ground zero in the fight over federal power versus local control.
